Language Arts:
Writing: The students are learning about pronouns and antecedents.
Reading: The class is reading The Boy In The Striped Pajamas.

Math 5th/6th:
Currently, the class is learning;  how to determine the missing angle measurement of a triangle and how to determine the area of a triangle.

Math 7th/8th:
State Testing This Week

Language Arts:
Reading: The students will be starting to read The Boy In The Striped Pajamas.
Writing: Currently, the students are writing a narrative essay, together.

Math 5th/6th:
The students are learning how to identify triangles by using sides and angles.


Math 7th/8th:
The students are learning how to identify and name pairs of angles.

Language Arts:
Reading: The students are reading and analyzing "The Raven," by E.A. Poe
Writing: The students have been reviewing; parts of a story, parts of speech, and figures of speech.

Math 5th/ 6th:
The students are completing the unit on polygons and quadrilaterals.

Math 7th/8th:
The students are completing the unit on volume.

Language Arts:

Writing: The students are learning about prepositions. Currently, they are writing an essay about "What would you do if you found an envelope full of money?"
Reading: The students are comparing and contrasting two stories. The students are preparing for the NJASK test.


Math 5th/6th:
Currently, the students are learning about polygons and quadrilaterals.


Math 7th/8th:
The students are learning how to determine the volume of cylinders, cones and spheres.

Language Arts:
In writing, the students are learning about irregular verbs. They also are writing an essay about what they would  do if they found an envelope full of money. In reading, the students are practicing their standardized test taking skills.

Math 5th/6th:
This week, the students are learning how to determine perimeter, area and volume.


Math 7th/8th:
This week, the students are continuing to learn about the Pythagorean Theorem.
