Language Arts:

Writing: Currently the students are writing a narrative essay about being stranded in a winter storm.

Reading: The students have been reading about the Winter Olympic Games and its history.



Math 5th/6th:

This week, the students are learning about percent.



Math 7th/8th:

Currently, the students are learning about proportions.

Language Arts:


*The students will complete their quotation mark projects and present them, this week

*In reading class, the students will continue to read Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie. They will also be reading about Olympic topics.


Math 5th/6th:

*This week, the students will be learning about ratios and proportions.


Math 7th/8th:

*The students will be learning how to use roots in order to solve equations.

Language Arts:

Reading: The students are currently reading Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie.

Writing: This week, the students will practice using quotation marks and punctuation marks by creating their own cartoons.

Math 5th/6th:

The students will be learning about reflections on coordinate grids.


Math 7th/8th:

The students will be learning how to multiply and divide with scientific notation.
