Language Arts:
The students are currently learning about figures of speech.
All students have new books for their book projects; book project outlines
will be sent home this Thursday.

Math:
Students are currently learning how to solve multi-step
word problems.

Language Arts:
Next week, the class will be going to the library to pick new books for their next book project.
Please continue to make sure that your student is reading each night. The format for the new book project will be sent home in about two weeks.


Math:
Students are currently learning about mixed numbers and improper fractions. Please continue to work on memorizing multiplication facts.

Language Arts:
BOOK PROJECT IS DUE NOVEMBER 29,2011!!!!!!
The students are learning the rules for spelling verbs in different tenses.
Currently, they are writing sequential essays about their Thanksgiving dinners.

Math:
The students are studying fractions. They are learning how to: add, subtract, multiply, divide, and reduce fractions.

Language Arts: This long weekend would be a good time to work on THE BOOK PROJECT!!!!

Language Arts: The class continues to learn the parts of speech. In our writing, we are learning how to use words other than "said" in order to express that a character is speaking.

This month the students will focus on speculative writing prompts. 8th Math : The class will be creating scale drawings.
