The students will continue to read The Boy Who Dared.
The different "moods" of verbs will be studied.

Math:
The students will be studying slope.

ELA:
The students will be completing their narrative essays, this week. While completing their essays the students are completing parts of speech/figures of speech test using their writing.

The Boy Who Dared is still being read. (The reading test that was supposed to be taken last week will be taken this week.)

This week, the students will begin to learn about slope.

ELA:
The class is currently reading The Boy Who Dared. ---vocab test will be Tuesday 1-16-18
Reading Comprehension Test will be Friday 1-19-18
The students are writing a narrative essay about a lesson that they have learned from a personal experience.


MATH:
The students will learn how to multiply and divide with scientific notation.
There will be a test on standard/scientific notation and adding/subtracting/multiplying/dividing numbers that are in scientific notation towards the end of the week.

ELA:

Currently, the students are writing a narrative essay about "A Learning Experience."
