The students are continuing to work on "presidential characteristics" essays.
They are also learning about combining sentences.
The class has started reading "Drums, Girls, & Dangerous Pie."


Math 7th/8th:
The students are currently learning about surface area and the Pythagorean Theorem.

Math 5th:

The students have been working on solving word problems involving money.
This week, they completed a "create-a-store" poster and game.

ELA:
The students are currently writing an expository essay about the characteristics that they believe a president should possess.

Subjects and predicates are also being studied.


7th/8th Math:
The students are currently learning how to use formulas in order to determine the surface area of three dimensional objects.

There will be an angle quiz Wednesday or Friday.

The students will be completing their mixed numbers and fractions unit.
