A new book project will be sent home before Spring Recess.

In all classes, we are taking practice tests to prepare for the NJASK tests.



Math: The students are currently studying tree diagrams and organized lists.

3rd and 4th grade Language Arts
*The students have been reading about Abraham Lincoln and The Underground Railroad.
*The students continue to learn about homonyms.
*Book Project due February 27, 2013

5th -8th grade Language Arts
*The students continue to read "Bud, Not Buddy"
*The students are writing about being stranded on an island.
*Book Project due March 6, 2013


Math
*The students are currently learning about probability.

3rd and 4th Grade Language Arts

*The students are learning how to write summaries of stories.

*BOOK PROJECTS ARE DUE:  February 27th -- comic strip



5th - 8th Grade Language Arts

*The students are currently writing persuasive essays.

*The students are reading  Bud, Not Buddy   by Christopher Paul Curtis

*The students are currently learning how to find tax and discounts, involved in shopping word problems.

*The students have been reading and writing fables.
*They have also been studying parts of speech .......nouns......verbs......adjectives

*The students have been writing about aliens visiting from outer space.
*They have also been studying figures of speech.

*The students have been studying how to find the percent of a number.

*All Language Arts Students - have chosen new books for their next book project.
