Language Arts - During the week of September 26th, we will be studying possessive nouns and the proper format for writing an explanatory essay. Students have chosen books for their book projects. Please be sure that your student is reading their book every night.


Math - During the week of September 26th we will be studying place value and rounding.

Language Arts: students are studying nouns and proper essay formats

5th and 6th Grade Math
Students will be classifying polygons and identifying similar and congruent figures.


8th Grade Math
Students will be adding and subtracting rational numbers.


Language Arts

Students will be working on MARE projects.

Students will be studying verbs.

8th Math

The students are studying Algebra topics including: function rules, measures of central tendency and stem and leaf plots.

5th and 6th Math

The students will continue to study metric and customary conversion.

Language Arts

The students are working on projects involving the beauties and beasts of the oceans.

5th and 6th Math:
This month students will be learning about:
conversion, charts and graphs, and how to solve word problems.

8th Math:
These students will be working on Algebra concepts.

Happy Spring!!!!! Book Projects Are Due April 27th Language Arts: The students have been learning about modifiers in grammar. The class will continue to read A Mango Shaped Space. This month the students will focus on speculative writing prompts. 8th Math : The class will be creating scale drawings. The students will continue to practice solving word problems. 5th-6th Math: The class is focusing on solving word problems involving money.
