Language Arts

*The book projects that were completed in November were fabulous.

*New book projects will be assigned the week of December 6th.

*We will continue to develop our essay writing skills by using newly acquired knowledge about the figures of speech.

Math classes will study: Geometry, Coordinate Grids, Place Value, Word Problems

To keep your students happily practicing math at home look for websites that combine solving math problems and playing games. For example: Cool Math or Funbrain

Students have chosen their books for the book project.
Book projects are due November 30, 2010.
A packet was given to your student to fill out for the project.
Please make sure that your student is reading every night.

Welcome Back!!!!
In Language Arts: we will be going to the library soon to pick books for our book projects.
At this time we are learning about nouns, reading I Freddy, and creating life maps.

In 5th and 6th grade math we are learning about factors and multiples.

In 8th grade math we are learning about function tables.
